I've never felt like an old fart in my life before going to Richmond yesterday. After the shortest drive of tour, we made it down to Richmond on time to load in to the club, Nanci Raygun, a cool all ages venue that has a bar and food as well. It's a real cool space that has two shows, one early one at 5PM and a later one at 10PM, we were the former. The show kind of got bothced last week by the band that was supposed to set the whole thing up about two months ago, so another band picked up the show and set up some bands last minute. I think that we were the oldest ones in a band that day, out of four bands and were only around 24, it made trying to coverse very diffucult because they were very awkward.
The weird thing was the first two bands were good, but were like all averaged out about 14 years old and their parents were there, selling merch for them and being VERY business like. It was like those cheerleader moms who push their kids way too hard because they wanted to be cheerleaders when they were kids. We went on third and played really well and people seemed to like it. The band that set the whole thing up was a cool ska/punk band called Neirborhood Friendly who were a little older, maybe 17-ish, but really cool people and were a good band with tons of energy and a good sense of humor. We stayed and chatted with some folks in a local band called "I live with Zombies" that were really cool guys. The show ended around 10 and we had to get out of the way for a DJ dance party thing happening that night, which was good because we were all dragging ass and have a long drive to NYC tomorrow. We're stoked to go up to New York and rock out,

Matt
